We developed a modular motion system for Apple Music’s ALT CTRL station to unify its ever-shifting mix of artists under a distinct, alternative visual language. Hand-cut and folded stop motion logo animations, and looping hand drawn backgrounds were combined into a flexible toolkit and After Effects template, allowing new covers and social posts to be generated by simply swapping photography and color presets. The result is a cohesive but eclectic brand system that brings raw, handcrafted energy to every update while keeping the station visually in sync with its sound.
